Started a new character on my iPhone 5, now I want to transfer my main character from my old iPad to the phone, i have tried everything it seems, but each time I reinstall the old character comes up, any suggestions?

Update, to help others in the same situation, only 2 ways to solve.

1.  Contact Gree via helpline and have them "kill" the player you are removing, takes time and sometimes you want to just swap devices.  Everything I read does not work and I looked everywhere from turning off the cloud to deleting from the cloud, nope it is the ghost in the machine literally.

2.  To save your character you have to move one to a 3rd device, can be tricky as it has to be iOS to ios, etc...  So I used my kids phone and transferred my character there temporarily so I could make the switch.
